Introducing Wired for Worship!
At the beginning of 2015 the Lord gave me three words: Worship, Presence and Increase. In my travels and research throughout the year, it has become clearer to me than ever before that we are Wired for Worship! Recent scientific research has begun to prove something that God’s people have known for generations: music has the ability to bring physical, emotional and spiritual transformation to those who hear it.
Over the coming months I will be unpacking a number of exciting topics, including:
- How scientific research proves that God has designed our mind, our body and our emotions to respond to music.
- Who worships, and why.
- Discovering worship as the key to breakthrough in your season.
- The role of music in revival.

This month’s video testimony comes from a lady I met at the Shifting Atmospheres conference in North Carolina.
She had pain in her back from deteriorating cartilage and compressed discs. After soaking and receiving from God, the pain was gone! Thank you Lord!

More Than a Sound
On a recent trip, a woman told me that she works in a facility for deaf and blind people. She said she takes the night duty and plays CDs during the night, though many of the residents are deaf. She said that when she plays my CDs, they begin to laugh!
There is something about God's Presence that supersedes our natural senses. When God made us, he did not only give us physical eyes and ears: he also gave us spiritual eyes and spiritual ears. After all, we are not only physical beings, but also spiritual. Even if we are asleep, when our natural senses are less alert, Song of Solomon 5:2 tells us that our heart is awake and able to perceive the communications of God.
I have heard numerous testimonies about what people have "sensed", "seen" or "felt" as they listened to my music. The emphasis has not been so much on the technical or musical aspects of the recordings, but on the supernatural impartation that the listeners experienced. As believers, each one of us is able to interact with God's presence and experience the things of heaven - things that may not be obvious to our physical senses, but spiritual realities that nevertheless make a difference in our day-to-day lives.
Zephaniah 3:17 states that God rejoices over us with singing. Each day, God is communicating with us, not only through through songs, but with thoughts, feelings, images and impressions, even if we are not conscious of it. Why not take a moment right now to ask Him what He has been singing over you?

Be Still
When was the last time you experienced complete stillness and silence? Did it feel peaceful? Or did it feel uncomfortable? Personally, I love experiencing those moments, and I will do almost anything to make them possible!
It is a wonderful thing when all the noise and activity around us stops, but most of all, it is wonderful when WE stop. It is a powerful statement when we choose to pause in the business of our lives, be still, and turn our attention towards our Father. It is a way of reminding ourselves that God is a good Father who fights our battles for us; therefore, we can rest and worship Him. It makes a statement that no matter what is going on around us, we cannot be separated from the joy and peace of His presence.
Psalm 46 describes a heavenly city: 'God himself is living in that city; therefore it stands unmoved despite the turmoil everywhere. He will not delay his help.' His presence within us makes it possible for us to be happy even in the midst of chaotic circumstances! His presence reassures us that we can be confident in His nature, and we can be confident about the future.
Have you been fighting hard to stay close to God? Do you feel burdened by the many demands you are facing? Maybe it is time for you to take a quiet moment to sit in His presence and allow His truth to wash over you. Let Him speak to you: "Cease striving and know that I am God".

Testimony - Age to Come Soaking Music
Driving home this weekend I let my 3 kids watch a short video. Then I told them it was quiet time and put on your Age To Come album. They hadn't heard it before. My 4 year old hears the first 20-30 seconds and says, "I think Jesus is on it." I said, "yes, Jesus is so good!" He agreed. Within 30 seconds all three of my hyper kids were ASLEEP!" (DB)
